blender rigging 1


add armature, clear foot parent
select foot select attached leg, shift + i to add ik constraint
select all leg pars, shift + d, r + z + 120 to duplicate to next leg

name the duplicated leg part to xxxRight
right click, symmetrize 

set parent to upper leg bones to lower spine bone

select head then select armature, change to pose mode
select upper spine, ctrl + p -> bone to set parent

select spine object then select spine bones
ctrl + p -> automatic weight

set leg bones to leg object

 
select leg bone above foot, chain link property -> set chain length to 3
to prevent each leg movement affects the other, 
movements only limits to 3 bones in each leg 

to prevent leg movement affect spine, select armature then select spine object
change to weight paint mode, paint spine red

object data property -> viewport display -> display as stick
select non control bones, m to move to 2nd layer

object property -> create 3 group, select different, click bones and assign.
