blender screw 2


add a vertex, add screw modifier, e + z to extrude vertex
increase iterations, and screw height in screw modifier
select the beginning 2 vertices, ctrl + r to loop cut
select middle vertex, g + y to move 

ctrl + r to loop cut between middle and top, middle and bottom vertex
select new vertex, g + y to move. select top vertex, g + z to close gap between threads.
add weld modifier. apply screw and weld modifier

shift + select all vertices from bottom to top
F3 -> merge at end

alt + select bottom edges, e to extrude, bisect to cut the bottom
alt + select bottom edges, e to extrude, s to scale down
select first 3 vertices on thread, g + g to move in

add a cylinder on top, add Boolean modifier for Philips cut

blender sewing cloth 1


add armature, add parent to each bone which is the adjacent bone
vertebrate is the top parent 
select human model, then select bones, ctrl + p -> weighted object

rotate arm to level

add a plane, ctrl + r to loop cut

delete extra faces

e to extrude to the back

open up faces for neck arms and leg by deleting them

select rest of the faces on the sides, x -> face only

set collision to human body, change thickness to 0.0001
set cloth to shirt, increase quality to 10, enable self collision
change distances to 0.001, decrease shrink factor to -0.2
shape -> enable sewing

run simulation, apply cloth modifier

g to move shallow surfaces so that no skin is exposed

g to move the corners under armpits

add subsurface modifier. s to scale waist and sleeve perimeter

in sculpting mode, shift + click to smooth surfaces

use pinch, expand... to smooth shirt

g to move sharp edges inside

select edges on gap, f to fill

blender cushion 5


add wrinkle back to cushion

add -> color -> mixrgb, change type to screen
feed stitch and wrinkle to the rgbmix, output to normal bump

create new uv map for the other cushions and call them seams
select seams as uv map for all 3 cushions
shift + click to select 2 cushions without stitches first, 
then shift + click to select the one with stitches,
ctrl + L copy uv maps

stitches copied to other cushions

in shading tab, add stitch image, feed to normal bump height

in uv editing, add a new uv map and name it seams

Alt + shift + click to highlight where seams will be stitched

move tiles to the middle, by setting x to 0.5. s to scale up

stitches appear

ctrl + i to inverse select

scale down the tiles and move to the side of the stitch picture
the stitch in front of the cushion disappears

in shading tab, add converter -> map range between stitch picture node and normal bump
increase min to 0.4 to filter out stitch rims
