add a geometry node tab by click plus -> general
select icing, create a new geometry node
add -> points -> distribution points
icing is converted to points
add -> geometry -> join geometry
icing appears again
shift + A to add a cylinder
F9 to reduce facets to 8
ctrl + A to apply all transforms on cylinder
add -> instances -> instances on points
drag and drop cylinder in geometry node view
connect cylinder to instances
increase the density of the points
connect rotation between points and instances
cylinders are following icing surface
add -> output -> rotate euler
connect rotate euler between point rotation and instance rotation
change rotate euler type to local to refer to the cylinder object
add -> output -> random value
connect random value to euler rotate by
change random value type to vector, set x, y = 0 to only create random rotation on z
